Local Coordinator, The Yard Theatre

In 2016 The Yard was asked by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC, planning authority) to manage Hub67, a community centre in Hackney Wick. From Hub67, we run The Yard’s Local Programme: made up of Yard Young Artists - a series of creative projects for local children and young people to discover theatre and make their own - and Yard XL - a broad range of programme that responds to community needs and local skills.

In early 2019, we opened The Hall, new community centre in the heart of East Village, E20. This new space provides a much needed home for the E20 community. The Yard is in the process of expanding Yard XL into East Village, producing and programming activity and supporting local residents to produce their own.

We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join us as we continue to grow the success of Local Programme. This is a brilliant opportunity for the right candidate to develop their career in the arts and community sector in a dynamic and ambitious organisation.
