The Tower Hamlets Arts and Music Education Service (THAMES) is seeking to appoint experienced orchestral percussion tutors to direct and support ensembles at the Saturday Music Centre with the potential for teaching whole or half classes of pupils mainly in primary schools during the school week as necessary.
We are especially interested in appointing highly talented and enthusiastic tutors who are excited by the possibility of being part of an Award-winning Music Hub. THAMES is the lead organisation for the Tower Hamlets and City of London Music Education Hub.
Being placed on the Panel of Music Tutors is NOT a guarantee of work, but ensures that THAMES can select tutors for teaching who are set-up by Human Resources and Payroll and cleared to teach.
Posts are part time, term time only and in various schools in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Your key task will be to direct and support ensembles at the Saturday Music Centre with the potential to teach tuned percussion and/or djembe to whole classes in primary schools in line with THAMES policies and the Service Level Agreement (SLA) to schools in Tower Hamlets.
