Newham Music the award winning Music Hub for Newham is expanding their team of teachers. We are looking for experienced, inspiring music instructors to join our successful team, teaching mostly during term time only. We are particularly looking for people with some or all of the following teaching skills:
- violin, flute, clarinet, saxophone small group teaching
- piano teaching and accompanying
- whole class instrumental
- ensemble leaders
- Music IT
- vocal leaders ideally with accompanying skills
- enthusiastic class teachers with excellent musical skills particularly with KS3 & KS4 experience
Teachers will need all or some of the following depending on the teaching placement:
•Class music teaching skills, which place an emphasis on practical, creative music making in the classroom
•To be able to teach a range of musical styles including composing and improvising
•Have a commitment to teaching musicianship skills through the voice
•Experience in Large Group, Mixed Ensemble and Workshop Leading Skills
Although not essential, the following qualifications would be useful: QTS, PGCE, CME.
Hourly rate: £24.44 for Instrumental Lessons. £28.86 for Large Group/Whole Class
