Painting Specialist Teacher, Young Hackney Fine Arts

Painting specialist teacher required for part time term time only position at highly popular fine art after school class at Hackney City Farm. You’d be joining a friendly and dedicated small team, teaching kids aged 6-16. Each teacher takes on 5 students per class, individual approach, step-by-step guidance. We use a grid system method to copy from photographs and masters. Drawing in charcoal and painting in acrylic.

Must have:
•Extensive technical knowledge in charcoal drawing and acrylic painting techniques
•Observational drawing skills
•A calm personality
•Art Degree or equivalent in practical knowledge
•Teaching qualification
•DBS check up to date
•Responsible to pay their own tax
•Punctual, responsible and reliable

Our Classes are term time only: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
•Set up 3:30-4.
•Class 4-5:45 with 15 break.
•Clear and pack 5:45-6:15.
•£40-£45 (depending on qualifications) paid per shift on a weekly basis. You can choose your shifts and amount of dates.

About us: I started YHFA and Flesh and Bones Life Drawing 3 and 1/5 years ago. I’m passionate and determined to make a positive impact in my community through art education. I’m soon to start a contract with Hackney Learning Trust to extend our services to underprivileged groups in the community.
