The Associate Project Manager is a key role in LSO Discovery’s Artist Development team. The team works with emerging professional performers and composers to provide career development opportunities, and also produces public concerts and events.
The post holder will plan and run Discovery’s Friday lunchtime concerts for the local community at LSO St. Luke’s, and the public Discovery Days series. They will oversee the regular pre-concert Platforms performed by Guildhall students in the Barbican Hall, which are coordinated by the Assistant (Artist Development).
The role also works with young musicians in higher education. It is responsible for the LSO’s long-running String Experience programme, which enables selected string players from London music colleges to play alongside the LSO in rehearsals and concerts. Additional projects include managing large-scale orchestral coaching projects at the Guildhall School, and for an annual residency in Aix-en-Provence.
The post has important relationships with the musicians of the LSO, key Guildhall school staff and students, and the LSO St. Luke’s team, as well as other LSO personnel including marketing, development, and concerts staff, and the wider Discovery team.
Salary range: £24,000 - £26,500 per annum pro rata, according to experience.
